Health Careers Training Institute Phlebotomy Program Information/Admission Requirements
Hours: 112 Hours
Classroom Hours - Monday - Thursday 5pm-9pm (2 weeks)
Externship: 80 Hours (Practical Clinical experience at a partner healthcare/medical facility)
Course Length: 4 Weeks
Prerequisites for the Program:
1. Proof that the applicant is at least 18 years or older.
2. High School Diploma or GED
3. Proficiency in English language (reading, writing and speaking)
4. The payment of registration fee and arrangements to pay tuition.
5. Signed admissions application and signed enrollment agreement.
6. Proof of US Citizenship or Right to Work in US
7. Adequate manual dexterity and physical ability, including but not limited to adequate vision, hearing, and physical stamina.
8. Successful completion of national background check
9. American Heart Association BLS – must be completed prior to clinical placement
10. Proof of Health Insurance
11. Proof of ALL immunizations including COVID-19 and Hep B or HCTI Waiver Form. *NOTE: HCTI Waiver Form does not guarantee clinical placement at facility partners.*
12. Completion of this Phlebotomy program will open eligibility to sit for the NHA Phlebotomy Certification exam.
